Peter Fitt, has over 40 years' experience of
boating and the inland waterways.

In 2021 Peter undertook formalised training with
Birmingham Midland Marine Services at Gailey Wharf, to enhance his experience and knowledge .
Peter's current certifications are shown below.
RYA Helmsman
The RYA Helmsman course was taken by Peter at Birmingham Midland Marine with a commercial operations syllabus.
BMM also train commercial operators for the Environment Agency, Maintenance Contractors, Emergency Services and Canal and River Trust amongst others.
RYA First Aid
The RYA first aid course completed by Peter pays particular attention to a water-based setting and is tailored to suit that environment and situations which could arise.
MCA Ancillary and DEFRA Outreach Rescue Courses
MCA ancillary courses in Water Safety and Personal Survival, plus Boat Fire Safety were also completed.
In addition, a DEFRA approved Outreach Rescue course in Water Safety/Rescue Awareness has been undertaken.
